Our student houses have a well deserved reputation as the best in Durham, with immaculate attention to details such as clipped bay trees outside your front door and beautiful plantation shutters at the windows. You deal with us directly, not through an agent, and many say we look after our tenants better than any other Durham landlord.

This viaduct house in the center of Durham City is extremely spacious and very comfortable, and will provide you with an exceptional and exclusive home from home. We clean the communal areas once a week, free of charge, and it has beautiful and abundant outdoor space with a large, tiered deck for BBQs, sunbathing and socialising.

Every bedroom is large and has a proper double bed, with a top quality deep comfy mattresses. You’ll spend up to half of your time in this bed whilst renting your student house, so this is VERY important.

This house has an Aga providing a cozy warm heart to the home. It also makes a perfect drier for wet sports kit, is more energy efficient than a normal cooker and can reduce the central heating cost. There’s also a secondary cooker and hob for busy cooking times and as a backup.

As well as oozing character from their original 19th Century period features, this house has other unique features such as:
Beautiful and practical stripped floorboards and parquet floors.
Attractive and contemporary sofa’s and arm chairs, a large dining table for communal eating and dinner parties, abundant cloths washing and drying facilities and ample fridge and freezer storage space for six of you.

Safety is paramount with full mains wired smoke detection systems, fire doors to every habitable room providing a secure fire escape route, full gas and electrical safety certification, full Government HMO Standards certification and full DSU Code of Standards certification.

We employ a full time maintenance team who service only our properties. They keep the houses in good shape and respond rapidly to any maintenance requests you may have.

What do you mean by ‘Fair Usage Policy’?
The Fair-Bills-Inclusive Policy applies to tenants whose rent includes utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and broadband. This policy is designed to ensure that utility usage remains reasonable and proportional. It provides tenants with peace of mind while protecting them from the risk of overspending on these services. Under the policy, a fair-usage allowance is set, which is the maximum amount tenants can use for these services without incurring additional charges. While the allowance is generous, it applies collectively to all tenants, meaning everyone is responsible for ensuring no one exceeds the limit. If the total usage exceeds the allowance, additional fees will apply. The allowance is typically calculated for a 12-month period, but if your tenancy is shorter, it will be adjusted accordingly.
